Social media should educate, entertain and inform, but generating relevant content to keep your followers engaged can be challenging.
Enter Podcasts.
Podcasts, similar to radio broadcasts, offer a new channel to inform your audience about industry relevant content, insights into specific topics and people and also position the host as an industry leader.
Podcasts are typically presented as an episodic series, and can be a great source of entertainment and education. They are usually free and may be funded through advertisements. Podcasts cover an array of topics including news, arts, business, comedy, sports, technology and of course–real estate.
Real estate industry podcasts share information on a variety of topics surrounding renting, buying, investing, closing, house flipping, legal matters, networking and more. They can be great for your own ongoing education or they can be helpful for you to share with your clients.
As of June 2020, Podcast Insights reported that there are over 900,000 active podcasts and 70 percent of the U.S. population are streaming them on their phones or computers. That means you have a pretty good shot at garnering a serious audience for your podcast.
If you’re thinking of starting your own real estate podcast and looking for a little inspiration, here are a few of our favorite podcasts for the real estate industry.
Real Estate Podcast IDEAS to TUNE INTO
You heard it here first. Our very own Stephen Kaempf, senior vice president of sales at Landtrust Title Services, has started a podcast to share the personal side of real estate — your stories from around Chicagoland and beyond.
Each week you’ll meet a new guest (in the first episode, you’ll get to know Steve himself) and topics will include real estate, business, entrepreneurship and more. Topics to date include what to expect on your sales journey, success tips for business owners and entrepreneurs, life and business hacks from real estate agents, and productivity tips for real estate business owners.
Head to your favorite podcast service such as Spotify or Google Podcasts and search “People, Not Titles” or click here to subscribe and follow Steve on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.
Hosted by Kevin Ward, the author of best-selling real estate book The Book of YES, and founder of YESMasters Real Estate Training, dives into real estate with new episodes every Wednesday.
He discusses current events, such as adapting your business during the coronavirus pandemic and how to succeed with virtual listings. Kevin also offers advice to new and experienced agents to stay motivated.
If you’re looking ahead, he also discusses industry predictions for 2020 and beyond.
Stephen Gasque, an experienced real estate professional and award-winning broadcast journalist, hosts Real Estate Today with a new fast-paced and factual episode every Friday.
The podcast, not just for agents but for interested home buyers as well, highlights the market conditions and field reports.
During each interview, Stephen interviews industry experts to connect listeners to the latest trends and steps to take to achieve the goal of homeownership.
Tim & Julie Harris, leaders in the real estate industry for over two decades, host Real Estate Today with new episodes every weekday.
In 30-60 minutes, Tim & Julie interview real estate agents with all levels of experience about how they stay motivated and successful.
The podcast also covers industry news, offers coaching advice, and interviews other real estate leaders on current events.
